Verified claims and boundaries
- What is Spin Loft?
Defines spin loft as the three-dimensional angle between club movement direction and face orientation.
Supports the definition only; it does not validate this app’s empirical coefficients.
- What is Smash Factor?
Defines smash factor as ball speed divided by club speed.
Supports the ratio identity; examples do not establish universal target ranges.
- 40+ Trackman Parameters
Defines carry at equal-elevation crossing, curve relative to launch direction, side relative to target line, total distance including calculated rest, and parameter-specific club reference locations/times: Club Speed at the geometric center before first contact; Attack Angle and Club Path at the geometric center at maximum compression; Dynamic Loft and Face Angle at the face/ball center-point at maximum compression.
These are vendor parameter definitions; radial carry and downrange distance are distinct measures. The app uses an idealized single delivery input frame, not OEM measurement parity.
- Understanding Club Data in Golf
Discusses CoG versus face-center reference methodologies and cautions that outputs based on different reference points may not be comparable.
This article’s CoG/face-center discussion is not a universal statement that every club-motion parameter is measured at CoG before impact; see the parameter-specific timing in the 40+ Trackman Parameters page. The app does not claim OEM measurement parity or validated gear-effect coefficients.
